The four week online programme is divided into an introductory video; 3 core modules and 2 optional modules that cover all the key features and content to prepare you for using Aspire Pupil Tracking next term.

Delegates can choose to attend all sessions or mix and match specific webinars that they feel are relevant to their school and current level of understanding.

Core module 1

An introduction to Aspire Pupil Tracking – Overview video

Lasts 20 minutes

  • An introduction to the Aspire Pupil Tracking Programme
  • Introducing the Aspire Pupil Tracking family - Assessment Tracker and Curriculum Tracker
  • Practical suggestions on how to get started with Aspire Pupil Tracking in your school.

Core module 2

Reports - tracking pupils over time

Lasts 40 mins

This core module follows on from optional module 2a: Understanding FFT Benchmarks in Assessment Tracker

  • Develop an understanding of the reports in Aspire Pupil Tracking
  • Find out how your current attainment in Aspire Pupil Tracking can be compared with the forward looking FFT Benchmarks and targets set by school
  • Discover the full range of reports available to analyse the performance of your subjects, year groups, classes and pupils
  • ‘Ask the Experts’ – short Q&A session.

Optional module 2a

Understanding FFT Benchmarks in Assessment Tracker

Lasts 30 mins

This optional module can be followed by core module 2: Reports – tracking pupils over time.

  • Develop an understanding of how FFT Benchmarks are calculated and how they can be used to support the Target Setting process in school
  • Discover the full range of pupil, subject and overview Target Setting reports available in FFT Aspire
  • Find out how your current attainment in Aspire Pupil Tracking can be compared with the forward looking FFT Benchmarks and targets set by school
  • ‘Ask the Experts’ – short Q&A session.

Core module 3

Creating templates and entering data for TAs and DfE tests

Lasts 20 mins (plus optional 20 min module 3a)

This core module can be followed by optional module 3a: Integrating third-party tests

  • An overview of the range of assessments available within Aspire Pupil Tracking
  • Learn how to create teacher assessments and assessments for DfE past papers in Year 1 Phonics and end of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
  • Discover how to enter data for your pupils on screen or via an excel template
  • Learn how to use the new ‘duplicate your assessments’ feature to save time when creating assessment templates in Aspire Pupil Tracking
  • ‘Ask the Experts’ – short Q&A session.

Optional module 3a

Integrating third-party tests

Lasts 20 mins

This optional module follows core module 3: Creating templates and entering data for TAs and DfE tests.

  • Learn how to create assessment templates for third-party tests
  • Discover how to enter pupil outcomes from third-party tests into Assessment Tracker
  • Understand how Assessment Tracker converts pupil outcomes from the third-party standardised tests into a DfE Scaled Score
  • ‘Ask the Experts’ – short Q&A session.

Core module 4

Connecting Curriculum Tracker to Assessment Tracker

Lasts 20 mins

  • An introduction to Curriculum Tracker and how it can be used formatively to support your teacher judgments
  • Learn how to create your own bespoke curriculum assessments and record your pupil outcomes
  • Discover how to copy teacher assessments for reading, writing and maths which have been recorded in Curriculum Tracker to assessment templates in Assessment Tracker
  • ‘Ask the Experts’ – short Q&A session.
