FFT Year 7 Transition Service
GCSE estimates for your new Year 7 students
Make the best possible start this summer
With no national KS2 tests in 2021, understanding and supporting Year 7 students will again be challenging. That’s why we’re working in partnership with GL Assessment to ensure that both Year 7 and Year 8 students can make the best possible start this summer.
FFT GCSE estimates for Year 7 and Year 8 pupils
Schools using GL Assessment’s CAT4 tests can upload their results to Aspire. You’ll then have access to a full set of FFT GCSE subject estimates for all your pupils, allowing you to set targets and monitor progress as normal.
This year we’re extending the service so you can now upload CAT4 data for both Year 7 AND Year 8 pupils. Great news if you didn’t take part last year or want to fill in any missing assessment gaps.
With CAT4 assessments in Aspire, you can access the full range of pupil, subject and school-based estimates for your Year 7 and year 8 cohorts. Use FFT’s interactive Target Setting dashboard in order to monitor progress and set aspirational targets.

About CAT4 tests
CAT4 supports primary to secondary transition through the provision of retrospective Key Stage 2 indicators, 9-1 GCSE indicators and insights into students’ reasoning abilities. Together, these give a broad and accurate overview of your students.
