Terms and conditions — scheduled training courses

1. Booking confirmation

You will receive an on-screen auto-generated booking number once you have completed a booking. Please make a note of this number and take this as provisional confirmation of your place. You will receive confirmation via email within 48hrs of booking. Bookings made less than 21 days prior to the start of the course will require immediate payment. FFT cannot be responsible for any duplicate bookings made.

2. Joining instructions

We will issue you with joining instructions approximately 15 days prior to the course. FFT will not be responsible for non-arrival of registration information. Please ensure you submit the correct email address and inform training@fft.org.uk of any change to an email address. If you have not received details by 5 days prior to the date of your course please contact training@fft.org.uk or call us on 01446 776262 (Option 4).

3. Payment

Course fees must be paid within 30 days of the date of the invoice or in advance of the training course, whichever is the sooner and regardless of booking date. All course fees quoted are exclusive of VAT, which is applicable at the standard rate. The fee includes tuition on the day, all relevant course materials, laptop hire and refreshments. Full day courses also include lunch.

4. Special requirements

FFT will make every effort to accommodate any special requirements that have been advised in advance on the booking form.

5. Cancellation

Cancellations must be in writing, by post or email to training@fft.org.uk. Cancellations within 30 days of the course date will incur 100% of the full course fee. Cancellations made more than 30 days of the course date will incur no charge.

6. Replacement delegates

You may nominate a replacement delegate, both for paid and complimentary places, at any time and at no additional cost, by emailing training@fft.org.uk.

7. Course transfers

A booking may be transferred to an alternative date, availability permitting, provided you notify FFT in writing. Transfers requested 7 days or less before a course will incur a 40% administration charge; transfers requested more than 7 days before a course will be subject to a 20% administration charge. Once a transfer has been accepted, the transferred place is non-refundable. Complimentary places are not eligible for transfer.

8. Non-attendance

Non-attendance of a course for any reason whatsoever will be deemed a cancellation with no notice and payment will be due in full.

9. Alterations/cancellations of courses by FFT

FFT reserves the right to alter a course programme without prior notice. In the unlikely event of FFT having to cancel a course, a full refund will be made unless the delegate wishes to transfer his or her booking to an alternative date/venue for the course. For all bookings, the liability of FFT shall be limited to the amount of the fee actually paid by the delegate and will not include any travel or accommodation costs incurred by the delegate.

10. Force majeure

FFT shall not be held responsible if the delivery of a course is delayed, cancelled or reduced through any circumstances beyond its reasonable control. This includes acts of God (including but not limited to, fire, flood, storm, snow or other natural disaster), sickness, labour disputes, strikes, terrorist activities, riots, government sanctions, blockages, lockout or interruption or failure of electricity or gas supply. Delegates must ensure that they can attend the training course they are scheduled to attend. FFT will not be held liable for their non- attendance, for whatever reason.

11. Your privacy

FFT gathers, holds and processes personal data in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 1998. Any personal data you supply will be used by FFT for your booking. Such data may also be released to third parties (such as service suppliers at the training event) where necessary for the purposes of the training course.

12. Access to FFT data

For practical computer-based sessions, it is the responsibility of the participant to ensure they have access to FFT Aspire at the event. FFT advises this access is checked at time of booking and on receipt of final session details. Participants should contact their Aspire administrator well in advance if a problem occurs. FFT cannot guarantee to provide access on the day. Where the session details advertise the provision of an FFT data report, FFT will undertake to provide a print out to the participant at the event. Participants not employed in a maintained school will not receive a report. Participants who book within 14 days of an event will receive their report by post within 14 days after the event. FFT reserves the right not to provide a data report if we are unable to verify the status of the participant. Data reports do not contain any pupil level or redacted information.

13. Non-subscribers programme

This clause applies to the FFT Information Events, Roundtables Events and One to One Sessions that form part of the FFT Education engagement programme. Clauses 4, 9, 10 and 11 apply to these events. Contact hello@fft.org.uk for all enquiries, cancellations or transfers. Where the session details advertise the provision of an FFT data report, FFT will undertake to provide a print out to the participant at the event, wherever this is possible. Participants not employed in a maintained school will not receive a report. FFT reserves the right not to provide a data report if we are unable to verify the status of the participant. Data reports do not contain any pupil level or redacted information.
